Winterfest 2026 - Fort Worth, TX
Winterfest is a weekend retreat for High School teens, attended primarily by churches of Christ.
We use teachers from our fellowship to teach and encourage teens in their walk with God.
This weekend is geared toward discipleship. The teachers and guests that come use real life stories,
drama, music and scripture to make the Christian life come alive to the teens involved.
Winterfest is $150, and includes registration, t-shirt, and lodging for the weekend.

NT*LTC - North Texas Leadership Training for Christ
North Texas Leadership Training for Christ recognized association of youth groups of the Churches of Christ and parachurch youth groups affiliated with the Churches of Christ.
The purpose of NTLTC is to plan, organize, promote, and execute programs that assist young Christians to develop their knowledge of the Bible and biblical principles, enhance their
communication and leadership skills, and orient their energies and abilities to areas of Christian service. This 3-day event happens each year over Easter Weekend and has
multiple events (individual and group) students can choose to be a part of. We would LOVE for you to be a part of this training, while having fun and making memories!

TEXOMA WORK CAMP
Texoma Work Camp's goal is to meet some tangible needs in the lives of people in our local area in the name of Jesus and alongside area churches. Projects our teens will be tackling will be in the realm of mowing lawns, pulling weeds, painting houses, mending fences, etc. Students entering 6th grade through high school graduates will find their hands full helping others! We could also use some adult help and supervision.

Canaan 2025
CAMP CANAAN 2026 / June 2nd-6th
Camp Canaan is for students going into grades 3-6, in the fall, at Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center in Bridgeport, Texas. It's a great chance for younger students to get their first camp experience, enjoy safe and fun activities, and time to fellowship with old friends, while making new ones. Throughout the year, we are praying that this week of camp will help your child in their journey to know and follow Christ.

VBS 2026 / June 15th-18th / Camp Mustardseed
Our theme for 2026 is Camp Mustardseed! Our June dates are set, and sign-ups will open up in late Spring. VBS Is Monday through Thursday, 10AM-1PM each day. Every year during VBS, our kids and adults of all ages come together to put on an exciting week for our young kids, filled with songs, activities, and bible experience rooms to learn about the story of God and His people through the Bible. It is a great way for members of all ages to get involved, and a wonderful opportunity for visitors and people in our community to come check out what it's like at Western Heights.
Last year's VBS theme was "Discover" as we went on an adventure discovering the Word of God. If you want to see what VBS was like last year, check out our Facebook photo album here. Next year's dates have been set but are still tentative. Watch out for updates as get ready for Summer 2026!

Camp Ichthus is our summer camp for those going into 7-12 grades, located at the Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center in Bridgeport, Texas. Camp Ichthus offers a unique mix of fun faith-based activities:
Ichthus is led by the Youth Ministers from every church that participate in Ichthus - together our staff group plans activities and develop Bible curriculum to relate to the teens of today, that they can grow their relationship with God and with their brothers and sisters in Christ.

- Adventure: Rock Wall Climbing, Zip-Lining, Archery, Horseback Riding, and Canoeing.
- Traditional Camp Activities: Swimming (in the lake), nature hikes, energetic camp games, and gatherings around a campfire.
- Spiritual Activities: Daily devotionals, interactive Bible studies, small group discussions, and heartfelt worship sessions.

Every year Western Heights, Parkview, Shawnee Trail, McDermott Road, Waterview, and Brown Street Churches of Christ get together to host not only the Ichthus summer camp, but the Fall Retreat! Fall retreat is like a mini-camp, running Friday through Sunday, with Spirit-filled worship services every night, keynotes from our Youth Ministry staff every morning, and all sorts of fun, games, and activates throughout the day.
The target cost each year is ~$100. Check our church newsletter and youth group social media pages for updates!

Our area of town is growing too fast to keep up, and we love having events that engage both our church and our neighbors, especially when they is fun, candy, and snacks.
We will have some inflatables for young kids, a nice, big (safe) campfire, plenty of trunks to treat at, and just a generally good time. Whether you're a member who wants to meet more of our community, or one of our neighbors who wants to come visit with some of our church families, we would love for you to join us.
